Domains and DNS
Point your Cloudflare domains at sites and services, with every change approved.
On this page
airepeat points your domains at sites and services through your Cloudflare account. Every change that could take a name offline waits for an approval.
Add a domain to a siteLink to this section: Add a domain to a site
- Make sure the domain's zone is on the Cloudflare account you connected.
- On the site, choose the domain. airepeat plans the records the site needs: the apex and
www. - Approve the plan. The records are created and the site answers on its new address.
How DNS plans workLink to this section: How DNS plans work
A plan compares the records a site needs with what Cloudflare already has.
- Records of a clashing type are conflicts. They're left alone by default.
- Replacing a conflicting record requests its removal first, which needs approval, and the new record is added only after it's gone.
- Records at other names and of other types, such as mail and verification records, are never touched.
What needs approvalLink to this section: What needs approval
| Change | Approval |
|---|---|
| Adding or changing a record | Yes: changing where a name points is as risky as removing it |
| Removing a record | Yes |
| Changing nameservers | Yes, by someone with launch-approval rights |
Ownership, routing and useLink to this section: Ownership, routing and use
Each domain records three things separately: the registrar account that owns it, the DNS account that answers for it, and the site that uses it. Names registered elsewhere can be added for DNS and site use only. Removing a domain from airepeat never changes its registration or DNS.
CertificatesLink to this section: Certificates
Coolify issues each address's TLS certificate. airepeat reads each launched site's certificate regularly and shows its expiry and issuer on the site's Monitoring tab, and alerts can warn you before it runs out. See Monitoring and alerts.
