Getting started
From a new account to your first live site. Allow about 30 minutes, most of it waiting for the server to install.
1. Sign up
Create an account with your email address and a password, and accept the terms and the acceptable use policy. Confirm your email address from the link we send you. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor sign-in straight away.
2. Wait for approval
During the beta every new workspace is reviewed by hand. You'll see a waiting screen until it is approved, and we'll email you when it is. Nothing is created or charged while you wait.
3. Connect your accounts
In the dashboard, open Integrations and add a key for each provider. Keys are encrypted as soon as you save them and are never shown again; to change one, replace it. You need:
- GitHub, where each site's code lives;
- Hetzner or DigitalOcean, for servers;
- Cloudflare, for your domains' DNS;
- an AI model key, for the planner and AI changes.
Already run Coolify on your own server? You can connect it with a Coolify API token instead of launching a new stack. The permissions each key needs are listed below.
4. Launch your stack
The first time you open a new workspace you'll see Launch your stack:
- Choose Hetzner or DigitalOcean, a region and a server size. The provider's monthly price is shown.
- Optionally choose a domain on your Cloudflare account for the Coolify dashboard.
- Approve. airepeat creates the server in your account, installs Coolify, creates an API token on it and connects it to your workspace.
Each step shows its progress. If one fails, you can retry just that step; nothing is bought twice.
5. Create your first site
- Open Create and describe the site you want, or start from a template.
- airepeat creates a private repository in your GitHub account and writes the first version.
- Check the private preview, ask for changes, and approve the first public launch when you're happy.
- Add a domain from Cloudflare, or use the address you were given.
To add an open-source service instead, such as analytics or an uptime monitor, browse the services catalogue and pick Add a service in the dashboard.
Key permissions by provider
Give each key the smallest access that works. These are the permissions airepeat uses today.
GitHub
A fine-grained personal access token for the account or organisation that will own your sites' repositories, with access to all repositories (new ones are created as you go):
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Administration: read and write | Create, archive and unarchive repositories |
| Contents: read and write | Write site code and template files |
| Metadata: read | Required by GitHub for every token |
| Webhooks: read and write | Hear about pushes so deploys stay in sync |
Hetzner Cloud
In the Hetzner Cloud console, open the project you want to use, then Security → API tokensand create a token with Read & Write access. Tokens are per project, so use a project just for airepeat if you run other servers.
DigitalOcean
A personal access token with custom scopes:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| droplet: create, read, update, delete | Create and manage your servers |
| ssh_key: create, read | Register your workspace's SSH key |
| regions, sizes, image: read | Show locations, sizes and prices |
| actions: read | Follow server creation |
Cloudflare
An API token (not the global API key), limited to the zones you want to use:
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Zone: Zone: Read | List your domains |
| Zone: DNS: Edit | Point records at your sites and services |
Coolify
The stack launch creates this token for you. To connect a Coolify you already run, enable the API under Settings and create a token under Keys & Tokens with read, write and deploy. Add read:sensitive only if you want deploy logs in airepeat.
AI model key
An API key from your AI provider, such as Anthropic. Usage is billed to you by the provider, so set a monthly spending limit in its console. airepeat also lets you set a budget per workspace.
Keeping keys safe
- Keys are encrypted at rest and only decrypted for the job that needs them.
- They never appear in logs, the audit log or the dashboard after you save them.
- Revoke a key at the provider and replace it in airepeat if you think it has leaked.
